French Government Teaching Assistantships awarded through the French Ministry of Education

Katherine Fussner '09- Kate's long term goals include becoming a language teacher and writer. She hopes to combine her interests in teaching, theater, writing and community activism to immerse herself fully in the French culture.

Dana Levin '09 has extensive experience working with high school students and is currently a senior French academic intern at Vassar. She feels her experiences with cultural immersion and comfort with the French language complement her interest in teaching and will aid her in promoting cross-cultural understanding.

Brian Mawyer '09 is a film major with a correlate in French. He hopes to share his interest in language as well as his passion for film with the French students. While sharing the American language and culture with the students, he hopes to also continue his own education, by absorbing more of the language and culture of France.

Elizabeth Wachtel '09 is a double major in French and English literature who studied abroad in Paris during her junior year.  She is looking forward to returning to France to share her passion for learning new languages with students.  While teaching in the region of Bordeaux, Elizabeth looks forward to continuing her study of French literature at L'Université Michel de Montaigne.
