The White House Fellows Program

The White House Fellows Program are looking for individuals who have:

  • A record of remarkable professional achievement early in their career;
  • Evidence of leadership skills & the potential for further growth;
  • A demonstrated commitment to public service; and
  • The skills to succeed at the highest levels of the federal government and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

The program is open to US Citizens who are not employed by the federal government (unless as career military).  The applicant must have completed his or her undergraduate education - but there is no formal age restriction.  There is an application and interview.  Background checks are necessary for all Finalists.

The President and Mrs. Obama are encouraging emerging leaders to apply to the White House Fellows Program. The Fellowship is one of the nation’s most prestigious program for leadership and public service. It is uniquely designed to provide exceptional young men and women first-hand experience working at the highest levels of the federal government and with other leaders from diverse fields. This is an excellent opportunity for young leaders to grow in their careers while giving back to the country.
